Thanks to the Democrats’ strong lead in the most populated areas of the country (North-East, Mid-West, Pacific Coast), their candidate has a clear advantage in the Electoral College. The Republican candidate has no way of winning the election but securing enough swing States (Florida, Ohio etc.)
